\v 8 Entonces \w le|strong="H4310"\w* preguntaron: “Dinos, \w por|strong="H2088"\w* favor, \w por|strong="H2088"\w* causa \w de|strong="H5971"\w* \w quién|strong="H4310"\w* \w es|strong="H2088"\w* \w este|strong="H2088"\w* \w mal|strong="H7451"\w* \w que|strong="H4100"\w* \w nos|strong="H4100"\w* aqueja. ¿\w Cuál|strong="H4100"\w* \w es|strong="H2088"\w* tu ocupación? ¿\w De|strong="H5971"\w* dónde vienes? ¿\w Cuál|strong="H4100"\w* \w es|strong="H2088"\w* tu país? ¿\w De|strong="H5971"\w* \w qué|strong="H4100"\w* \w pueblo|strong="H5971"\w* eres?”

\v 9 Les dijo: “Soy \w hebreo|strong="H5680"\w* y temo \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Yahvé, \w el|strong="H6213"\w* \w Dios|strong="H3068"\w* del \w cielo|strong="H8064"\w*, que ha \w hecho|strong="H6213"\w* \w el|strong="H6213"\w* \w mar|strong="H3220"\w* y la \w tierra|strong="H3004"\w* seca.”

\v 15 Entonces \w tomaron|strong="H5375"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* \w Jonás|strong="H3124"\w* y lo arrojaron al \w mar|strong="H3220"\w*; y el \w mar|strong="H3220"\w* cesó su furia.  
\v 16 Entonces los hombres \w temieron|strong="H3372"\w* \w mucho|strong="H1419"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Yahvé, ofrecieron un \w sacrificio|strong="H2077"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Yahvé \w e|strong="H3068"\w* hicieron \w votos|strong="H5087"\w*.

\v 17 Yahvé preparó un enorme pez para que se tragara \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Jonás, y éste estuvo en el vientre del pez tres días y tres noches.

\v 2 Dijo,  
\q1 “Llamé \w a|strong="H3068"\w* causa de mi aflicción \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Yahvé.  
\q2 Me respondió.  
\q1 Desde el vientre del Seol lloré.  
\q2 Has oído mi voz.

\v 3 Porque me arrojaste \w a|strong="H3068"\w* las profundidades,  
\q2 en el corazón de los mares.  
\q1 El diluvio estaba \w a|strong="H3068"\w* \w mi|strong="H6030"\w* alrededor.

\v 2 “\w Levántate|strong="H6965"\w*, \w ve|strong="H3212"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* \w Nínive|strong="H5210"\w*, esa \w gran|strong="H1419"\w* \w ciudad|strong="H5892"\w*, y predícale el mensaje que te doy.”

\v 3 \w Jonás|strong="H3124"\w* \w se|strong="H1961"\w* \w levantó|strong="H6965"\w* y \w se|strong="H1961"\w* dirigió \w a|strong="H3068"\w* \w Nínive|strong="H5210"\w*, según la \w palabra|strong="H1697"\w* \w de|strong="H1697"\w* Yahvé. \w Nínive|strong="H5210"\w* \w era|strong="H1961"\w* una \w ciudad|strong="H5892"\w* muy \w grande|strong="H1419"\w*, \w que|strong="H3117"\w* \w estaba|strong="H1961"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* \w tres|strong="H7969"\w* \w días|strong="H3117"\w* \w de|strong="H1697"\w* \w camino|strong="H4109"\w*.  
\v 4 \w Jonás|strong="H3124"\w* \w comenzó|strong="H2490"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* entrar \w en|strong="H5750"\w* la \w ciudad|strong="H5892"\w* \w a|strong="H3068"\w* un \w día|strong="H3117"\w* \w de|strong="H5750"\w* \w camino|strong="H4109"\w*, y \w gritó|strong="H7121"\w* diciendo: “¡\w Dentro|strong="H5750"\w* \w de|strong="H5750"\w* cuarenta \w días|strong="H3117"\w*, \w Nínive|strong="H5210"\w* será destruida!”

\v 7 Hizo una proclama \w y|strong="H1241"\w* la publicó \w por|strong="H4428"\w* \w Nínive|strong="H5210"\w* \w por|strong="H4428"\w* decreto \w del|strong="H8354"\w* \w rey|strong="H4428"\w* \w y|strong="H1241"\w* \w de|strong="H4325"\w* sus nobles, diciendo: “\w Que|strong="H4325"\w* ni el hombre ni el animal, ni la manada ni el \w rebaño|strong="H6629"\w*, prueben \w nada|strong="H3972"\w*; \w que|strong="H4325"\w* no se alimenten ni \w beban|strong="H8354"\w* \w agua|strong="H4325"\w*;  
\v 8 sino \w que|strong="H4480"\w* \w se|strong="H4480"\w* cubran \w de|strong="H4480"\w* cilicio, tanto el hombre como el animal, y \w que|strong="H4480"\w* clamen poderosamente \w a|strong="H3068"\w* Dios. Sí, \w que|strong="H4480"\w* \w se|strong="H4480"\w* conviertan todos \w de|strong="H4480"\w* su \w mal|strong="H7451"\w* \w camino|strong="H1870"\w* y \w de|strong="H4480"\w* la \w violencia|strong="H2555"\w* \w que|strong="H4480"\w* hay \w en|strong="H4480"\w* sus \w manos|strong="H3709"\w*.
