\imt1 About this letter  
\ip Paul wrote this letter about 2,000 years ago, about 20 years after Jesus went back to heaven, and it is now in the Holy Bible.  
\ip Paul wrote this letter to the Christians that were living in Galatia country. At that time Galatia was a part of the country that is now called Turkey.  
\ip God sent Paul to lots of countries to tell people about Jesus, and one of them was Galatia (see Acts 16:6). A lot of the Galatia people believed in Jesus and became Christians. Most of those new Christians were not Jews. (You see, Jesus belonged to the Jewish nation, so he was a Jew, and so were Peter, and Paul, and a lot of the other Christians at that time.)  
\ip After Paul left Galatia, some Jewish people went there and told the new Christians, “You can’t be a friend of God unless you become like us Jews. You men have to let somebody do a young man operation on you, and you all have to follow the Jewish law.”  
\ip The new Christians listened to those Jews and started to go wrong. Paul heard about it and it upset him, so he wrote this letter to get them to go the right way.  
\ip This letter has some very important messages for us today. It shows us that we need to trust Jesus and let the Holy Spirit control us, and not listen to anyone that says we have to go a different way.

\v 1 \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w am|strong="G2532"\w* \w Paul|strong="G3972"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* letter \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w from|strong="G1537"\w* \w me|strong="G1453"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w*’m sending \w this|strong="G3588"\w* letter \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G2532"\w* \w Christians|strong="G2424"\w* \w in|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* churches \w in|strong="G2532"\w* Galatia country.  
\p \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w am|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*’s special worker, \w but|strong="G2532"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* wasn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w man|strong="G3498"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w gave|strong="G2532"\w* \w me|strong="G1453"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w power|strong="G2316"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*’s special worker. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* wasn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w any|strong="G3756"\w* mob \w of|strong="G1537"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w*. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w our|strong="G2316"\w* \w father|strong="G3962"\w*. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* \w sent|strong="G2316"\w* \w me|strong="G1453"\w* \w out|strong="G1537"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* tell everybody \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*. \w You|strong="G2532"\w* see, \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* really powerful. \w People|strong="G3588"\w* killed \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*, \w but|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w made|strong="G2316"\w* \w him|strong="G3588"\w* alive \w again|strong="G1453"\w*.

\v 2 \w Your|strong="G2532"\w* Christian friends \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w with|strong="G4862"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w here|strong="G3956"\w*, \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w say|strong="G2532"\w* \em hello\em* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G3956"\w*.

\v 3 \w I|strong="G1473"\w*’m asking \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w our|strong="G2316"\w* \w father|strong="G3962"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* \w our|strong="G2316"\w* leader, \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w good|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w make|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* feel happy \w and|strong="G2532"\w* quiet inside \w yourselves|strong="G4771"\w*.  
\v 4 \w You|strong="G1325"\w* \w know|strong="G1537"\w*, \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w did|strong="G2532"\w* \w bad|strong="G4190"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, \w but|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w took|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* payback \w for|strong="G5228"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w of|strong="G1537"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w*. \w He|strong="G2532"\w* \w died|strong="G3588"\w* instead \w of|strong="G1537"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w*, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w now|strong="G2532"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* \w can|strong="G1325"\w* save \w us|strong="G1325"\w* \w from|strong="G1537"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w bad|strong="G4190"\w* world \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w live|strong="G2532"\w* \w in|strong="G2596"\w*. \w That|strong="G3588"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*, \w our|strong="G2316"\w* \w father|strong="G3962"\w*, wanted \w him|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w*.  
\v 5 \w So|strong="G1519"\w* \w everyone|strong="G3739"\w* \w has|strong="G3739"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* say \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w God|strong="G1519"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w very|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w and|strong="G1391"\w* \w very|strong="G3588"\w* great. \w We|strong="G3739"\w* \w have|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* keep \w on|strong="G1519"\w* saying \w it|strong="G3739"\w* \w all|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1519"\w* \w time|strong="G3739"\w*, \w for|strong="G1519"\w* \w ever|strong="G1519"\w*. Yes, \w that|strong="G3739"\w*’s \w right|strong="G1519"\w*.   
\s1 Don’t listen to the wrong story  
\p
\v 6-7 But now listen, you mob. You are giving me a big shock. A little while ago I told you the true story about God, but now you are already listening to other people, and they are turning you away from God. You are forgetting the good news we told you, and now you are listening to a different story that other people are telling you. They say it is good news, but it is not. We told you the proper good news about Jesus Christ. He loves you, and he is very good to you, and God used him to bring you into his family. But that other mob are trying to change this story into another story, and they call it \em good news\em*. But really, there is only one good news story. They are just messing you up.  
\v 8 Listen, don’t \w let|strong="G1510"\w* anybody teach \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* different story \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* proper \w good|strong="G2097"\w* \w news|strong="G2097"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* taught \w you|strong="G5210"\w*. \w I|strong="G1473"\w* pray \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* punish \w anyone|strong="G3739"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w* teaches \w a|strong="G2532"\w* different message, \w no|strong="G2532"\w* matter \w who|strong="G3739"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w*, \w even|strong="G2532"\w* \w if|strong="G1437"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* \w us|strong="G2097"\w*, \w or|strong="G2228"\w* \w an|strong="G2532"\w* angel messenger \w from|strong="G1537"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w sky|strong="G3772"\w*.  
\v 9 \w I|strong="G3739"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* \w say|strong="G3004"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* \w again|strong="G3825"\w*. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w anyone|strong="G5100"\w* teaches \w a|strong="G5613"\w* story \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* different \w from|strong="G3844"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* story \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w we|strong="G3739"\w* \w told|strong="G3004"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w*, \w the|strong="G2532"\w* story \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w believed|strong="G2532"\w*, \w I|strong="G3739"\w* want \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* properly punish \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w person|strong="G3739"\w*.

\v 10 \w I|strong="G1063"\w*’m \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w trying|strong="G2212"\w* \w to|strong="G2212"\w* \w make|strong="G3756"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* happy \w with|strong="G2316"\w* \w me|strong="G2212"\w*, \w I|strong="G1063"\w*’m \w trying|strong="G2212"\w* \w to|strong="G2212"\w* \w make|strong="G3756"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* happy \w with|strong="G2316"\w* \w me|strong="G2212"\w*. \w I|strong="G1063"\w* work \w for|strong="G1063"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1510"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* \w now|strong="G1510"\w*, \w so|strong="G1063"\w* \w it|strong="G1063"\w* doesn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* matter \w to|strong="G2212"\w* \w me|strong="G2212"\w* \w if|strong="G1487"\w* \w some|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* aren’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* happy \w when|strong="G1510"\w* \w I|strong="G1063"\w* talk straight like \w this|strong="G3588"\w*.   
\s1 Paul’s message came from Jesus Christ, not from people

\v 11-12 You see, my Christian friends, I want you to understand this. Jesus Christ himself told me that good news. No man or woman made up that message. It came from Jesus himself, and after Jesus told me that message, I told it to you.

\v 13 \w It|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w like|strong="G2596"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w*. \w You|strong="G3754"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* heard \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w like|strong="G2596"\w* \w before|strong="G1722"\w*. \w At|strong="G1722"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w time|strong="G4218"\w*, \w I|strong="G2532"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* believe \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* Jew, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w believed|strong="G3588"\w* everything \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Jews believe. \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G3754"\w* \w know|strong="G1722"\w* \w about|strong="G2596"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w did|strong="G2532"\w* \w at|strong="G1722"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w time|strong="G4218"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w made|strong="G2316"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* lot \w of|strong="G2316"\w* trouble \w for|strong="G1063"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Christian \w people|strong="G3588"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w* tried hard \w to|strong="G2532"\w* stop \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w from|strong="G2532"\w* \w following|strong="G2596"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*.\x * \xo 1:13 \xt Acts 8:3; 22:4-5; 26:9-11\x*

\v 14 \w You|strong="G1722"\w* see, \w our|strong="G2532"\w* Jewish grand-fathers told \w us|strong="G1722"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w way|strong="G1722"\w* \w we|strong="G2532"\w* Jewish \w people|strong="G4183"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w live|strong="G5225"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* tried \w hard|strong="G4183"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w live|strong="G5225"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w way|strong="G1722"\w*. \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* becoming \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w better|strong="G4183"\w* Jew \w than|strong="G4183"\w* \w most|strong="G4183"\w* \w of|strong="G2532"\w* \w my|strong="G1722"\w* mates, \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w other|strong="G4183"\w* Jews \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w same|strong="G2532"\w* age \w as|strong="G1722"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w*.\x * \xo 1:14 \xt Acts 22:3\x*  
\v 15 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G2106"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* picked \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w his|strong="G1223"\w* worker \w even|strong="G2532"\w* \w before|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* born.  
\v 16 \w God|strong="G2532"\w* wanted \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w go|strong="G2532"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* tell \w the|strong="G1722"\w* message \w about|strong="G1722"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* Jews. \w So|strong="G2443"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* showed \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* told \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w about|strong="G1722"\w* \w him|strong="G3588"\w*. \w Then|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w believed|strong="G3588"\w* \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*. \w God|strong="G2532"\w* told \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* message, \w so|strong="G2443"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* ask anybody \w else|strong="G2532"\w* \w about|strong="G1722"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w*.\x * \xo 1:16 \xt Acts 9:3-6; 22:6-10; 26:13-18\x*  
\v 17 \w I|strong="G1473"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w go|strong="G1519"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w Jerusalem|strong="G2414"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* talk \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w men|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*’s special workers \w before|strong="G4253"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w*. Instead \w of|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w went|strong="G2532"\w* straight \w away|strong="G5290"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* country \w called|strong="G3588"\w* Arabia. \w Then|strong="G2532"\w* later \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w went|strong="G2532"\w* \w back|strong="G3825"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* city \w called|strong="G3588"\w* \w Damascus|strong="G1154"\w*.

\v 18 \w Then|strong="G2532"\w*, 3 \w years|strong="G2094"\w* \w later|strong="G3326"\w*, \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w went|strong="G2532"\w* south \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w Jerusalem|strong="G2414"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w meet|strong="G2532"\w* \w Peter|strong="G2532"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w stayed|strong="G1961"\w* \w there|strong="G2532"\w* \w with|strong="G3326"\w* \w him|strong="G2532"\w* \w for|strong="G1519"\w* \w only|strong="G2532"\w* 15 \w days|strong="G2250"\w*.\x * \xo 1:18 \xt Acts 9:26-30\x*  
\v 19 \w I|strong="G1161"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w see|strong="G3708"\w* \w any|strong="G1487"\w* \w of|strong="G2962"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2962"\w* \w Christ|strong="G2962"\w*’\w s|strong="G2962"\w* \w other|strong="G2087"\w* special workers, \w except|strong="G1487"\w* \w James|strong="G2385"\w*, \w the|strong="G1161"\w* brother \w of|strong="G2962"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2962"\w*.  
\v 20 \w What|strong="G3739"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w*’m \w writing|strong="G1125"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w true|strong="G3588"\w*. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* knows \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w it|strong="G3754"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w true|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 21 Later \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w went|strong="G2064"\w* \w north|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* countries \w called|strong="G3588"\w* \w Syria|strong="G4947"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w Cilicia|strong="G2791"\w*.  
\v 22 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* back \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w Judea|strong="G2449"\w* country \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Christians \w there|strong="G1161"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w know|strong="G1722"\w* me.  
\v 23 \w They|strong="G1161"\w* \w only|strong="G3440"\w* heard \w people|strong="G1510"\w* \w say|strong="G1473"\w*, “\w The|strong="G1161"\w* \w man|strong="G3739"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* tried \w to|strong="G1161"\w* stop \w us|strong="G2097"\w* \w believing|strong="G4102"\w* \w in|strong="G4102"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1510"\w* Christ, \w the|strong="G1161"\w* \w man|strong="G3739"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w gave|strong="G3588"\w* \w us|strong="G2097"\w* bad trouble \w and|strong="G1161"\w* hurt \w us|strong="G2097"\w*, \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w man|strong="G3739"\w* \w has|strong="G3739"\w* changed, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* telling \w everyone|strong="G3739"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w believe|strong="G4102"\w* \w in|strong="G4102"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1510"\w* Christ.”  
\v 24 \w Those|strong="G3588"\w* Christians heard \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* changed, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* happy, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* thanked \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w said|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* really \w great|strong="G2532"\w*.

\s1 The church leaders in Jerusalem agreed with Paul

\v 1-2 Then, 14 years later, God told me to go to Jerusalem again. This time I went with Barnabas, and I took Titus with me too. We had a little meeting there, with just the important church people, and I told them all about the message that I teach to the people that are not Jews. I wanted to see if they agreed with what I was doing. I didn’t want anyone to mess up my work.\x * \xo 2:1-2 \xt Acts 11:30; 15:2\x*

\v 3-4 You see, Titus was there with me, and he is a Greek man, not a Jew. But there were some Jewish men that came secretly into the church in Jerusalem. They reckoned they believed in Jesus, but they didn’t really trust him properly. They only came into the church to see what we were doing. And they reckoned that Titus had to follow the Jewish law and have a young man operation. But, you see, if we belong to Jesus Christ, we are free from that law. But those men wanted to force us to keep that law.  
\v 5 \w But|strong="G3588"\w* \w we|strong="G3739"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* listen \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*, \w not|strong="G3761"\w* \w even|strong="G3761"\w* \w a|strong="G4314"\w* little bit. \w We|strong="G3739"\w* knew \w they|strong="G3588"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* wrong. \w So|strong="G2443"\w* \w we|strong="G3739"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* tell Titus \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w have|strong="G5210"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w young|strong="G3739"\w* \w man|strong="G3739"\w* operation. \w You|strong="G5210"\w* see, \w we|strong="G3739"\w* only want \w to|strong="G4314"\w* teach \w the|strong="G4314"\w* \w true|strong="G3588"\w* message \w about|strong="G4314"\w* Jesus, \w and|strong="G3588"\w* \w we|strong="G3739"\w* want \w you|strong="G5210"\w* mob \w to|strong="G4314"\w* keep \w on|strong="G3739"\w* believing \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w true|strong="G3588"\w* message.

\v 6 \w The|strong="G1161"\w* Christians \w in|strong="G2316"\w* Jerusalem reckon \w their|strong="G3588"\w* leaders \w are|strong="G1510"\w* important, \w but|strong="G1161"\w* \w it|strong="G1161"\w* doesn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w matter|strong="G5100"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w if|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G1161"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* important, \w or|strong="G1161"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w*. \w God|strong="G2316"\w* treats everybody \w the|strong="G1161"\w* same \w way|strong="G5100"\w*.\x * \xo 2:6 \xt Deuteronomy 10:17\x* Anyway, \w those|strong="G3588"\w* leaders agreed \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w was|strong="G1510"\w* already teaching \w the|strong="G1161"\w* \w true|strong="G3588"\w* message \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1510"\w*, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* wasn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w leaving|strong="G3588"\w* \w anything|strong="G5100"\w* \w out|strong="G1063"\w*.  
\v 7 \w No|strong="G3754"\w*, \w they|strong="G3588"\w* \w understood|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w* \w gave|strong="G3588"\w* \w me|strong="G3708"\w* \w a|strong="G3708"\w* special job, \w just|strong="G2531"\w* \w like|strong="G2531"\w* \w he|strong="G3754"\w* \w gave|strong="G3588"\w* \w Peter|strong="G4074"\w* \w a|strong="G3708"\w* special job. \w God|strong="G3588"\w* told \w me|strong="G3708"\w* \w to|strong="G3708"\w* tell \w the|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w news|strong="G2098"\w* \w about|strong="G3588"\w* Jesus \w to|strong="G3708"\w* \w the|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3708"\w* Jews. \w And|strong="G4074"\w* \w he|strong="G3754"\w* told \w Peter|strong="G4074"\w* \w to|strong="G3708"\w* tell \w that|strong="G3754"\w* same \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w news|strong="G2098"\w* \w to|strong="G3708"\w* \w the|strong="G3588"\w* Jewish \w people|strong="G3588"\w*.  
\v 8 \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w gave|strong="G2532"\w* \w Peter|strong="G4074"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* power \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w his|strong="G1519"\w* messenger \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* Jews. \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w gave|strong="G2532"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* power \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w his|strong="G1519"\w* messenger \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G2532"\w* Jews.

\v 9 \w The|strong="G2532"\w* 3 \w very|strong="G2532"\w* important leaders \w in|strong="G1519"\w* \w Jerusalem|strong="G1519"\w* \w were|strong="G1510"\w* \w James|strong="G2385"\w*, \w Peter|strong="G2532"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w John|strong="G2491"\w*. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* \w heard|strong="G1484"\w* \w how|strong="G1161"\w* much \w God|strong="G1325"\w* helped Barnabas \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w me|strong="G1325"\w* \w in|strong="G1519"\w* \w our|strong="G2532"\w* \w work|strong="G5485"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w understood|strong="G1097"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w God|strong="G1325"\w* \w gave|strong="G1325"\w* \w me|strong="G1325"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* special job. \w Then|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w were|strong="G1510"\w* happy \w with|strong="G2532"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* shook \w hands|strong="G1188"\w* \w with|strong="G2532"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w show|strong="G1325"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w our|strong="G2532"\w* friends. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* agreed \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w go|strong="G1519"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w* Jews, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w themselves|strong="G1519"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w go|strong="G1519"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* Jewish \w people|strong="G1484"\w*.  
\v 10 \w The|strong="G2532"\w* \w only|strong="G3440"\w* \w other|strong="G3739"\w* \w thing|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* asked \w us|strong="G4160"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w do|strong="G4160"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* help \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w poor|strong="G4434"\w* Christians. \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w what|strong="G3739"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* myself really wanted \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w do|strong="G4160"\w*.

\v 11 \w You|strong="G3754"\w* know, Peter \w came|strong="G2064"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w the|strong="G1519"\w* city called Antioch \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w visit|strong="G2064"\w* \w us|strong="G1519"\w* Christians \w there|strong="G1161"\w*. \w At|strong="G1519"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* time, \w I|strong="G1161"\w* \w had|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* straighten \w him|strong="G1519"\w* \w out|strong="G2064"\w*. \w I|strong="G1161"\w* stood \w up|strong="G1519"\w* \w in|strong="G1519"\w* front \w of|strong="G2596"\w* everybody, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1161"\w* \w said|strong="G1161"\w*, “Peter, \w you|strong="G3754"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* wrong.”

\v 12-13 You see, it was like this. Peter is a Jewish man, and at first he was friends with the Christians at Antioch that were not Jews. He even broke the Jewish rules and ate food with them. But then James sent some other Jewish men to Antioch, and after they got there, Peter changed. Those new men reckoned that every Christian has to become a Jew, and Peter was frightened of them. He went back to following the Jewish rules and stopped eating food with those people that were not Jews. All the other Jewish Christians at Antioch were frightened too, and they did the same as Peter, even though they knew it was wrong. And Barnabas did that too. He stopped eating food with people that are not Jews.

\v 14 \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w knew|strong="G3756"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* properly following \w God|strong="G2532"\w*’s \w true|strong="G3588"\w* message, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w* talked straight \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w Peter|strong="G2532"\w* \w in|strong="G2532"\w* \w front|strong="G1715"\w* \w of|strong="G2532"\w* \w everyone|strong="G3956"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w said|strong="G3004"\w*, “Listen, \w Peter|strong="G2532"\w*, \w you|strong="G4771"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* wrong. \w You|strong="G4771"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jew|strong="G2453"\w*, \w but|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G4771"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* \w been|strong="G2532"\w* \w living|strong="G2198"\w* \w here|strong="G3956"\w* \w like|strong="G1483"\w* \w you|strong="G4771"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jew|strong="G2453"\w*. \w So|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G4771"\w* \w can|strong="G3004"\w*’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w turn|strong="G4459"\w* \w around|strong="G4314"\w* \w now|strong="G2532"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* agree \w with|strong="G4314"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* new mob. \w You|strong="G4771"\w* \w can|strong="G3004"\w*’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* try \w to|strong="G4314"\w* force \w these|strong="G3956"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w Jews|strong="G2453"\w* \w to|strong="G4314"\w* follow \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w same|strong="G2532"\w* rules \w as|strong="G2532"\w* \w us|strong="G3004"\w* \w Jews|strong="G2453"\w*.”   
\s1 God will only say you are all right if you trust Jesus

\v 15 \w You|strong="G2532"\w* see, \w Peter|strong="G2532"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w*, \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jews|strong="G2453"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w our|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jewish|strong="G2453"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* taught \w us|strong="G2249"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w*’s law. \w We|strong="G2249"\w* \w Jews|strong="G2453"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* like \w you|strong="G2532"\w* \w people|strong="G1484"\w* \w that|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w Jews|strong="G2453"\w*. Nobody taught \w you|strong="G2532"\w* mob \w God|strong="G2532"\w*’s law.  
\v 16 \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w know|strong="G1492"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w if|strong="G1437"\w* \w people|strong="G3956"\w* \w just|strong="G2532"\w* try \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w follow|strong="G1161"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*, \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w can|strong="G1492"\w*’t \w do|strong="G1492"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* properly, \w so|strong="G2443"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w right|strong="G3756"\w*. \w He|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w only|strong="G3756"\w* \w do|strong="G1492"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w for|strong="G3754"\w* \w people|strong="G3956"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w trust|strong="G4100"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*. \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* trusted \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w so|strong="G2443"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w right|strong="G3756"\w*. \w You|strong="G1437"\w* \w see|strong="G1492"\w*, \w if|strong="G1437"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w believe|strong="G4100"\w* \w in|strong="G1519"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*, \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w right|strong="G3756"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* punish \w us|strong="G1519"\w*. \w If|strong="G1437"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w only|strong="G3756"\w* think \w about|strong="G1519"\w* following \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*, \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w never|strong="G3756"\w* \w do|strong="G1492"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* properly, \w so|strong="G2443"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w never|strong="G3756"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w right|strong="G3756"\w*. Nobody \w can|strong="G1492"\w* \w get|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w right|strong="G3756"\w* \w by|strong="G1223"\w* \w just|strong="G2532"\w* following \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*.\x * \xo 2:16 \xt Psalm 143:2; Romans 3:20, 22\x*

\v 17 \w Yes|strong="G1161"\w*, \w we|strong="G2532"\w* trusted \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* says \w we|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* right. \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w some|strong="G1722"\w* \w people|strong="G3361"\w* \w might|strong="G2532"\w* reckon, “\w You|strong="G1487"\w* \w left|strong="G2147"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w*’s law, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w say|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w guilty|strong="G1096"\w*. \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w got|strong="G1096"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G1096"\w* something bad.” \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3361"\w* right.  
\v 18 \w You|strong="G3739"\w* see, \w it|strong="G1063"\w* \w is|strong="G3778"\w* like \w this|strong="G3778"\w*. \w I|strong="G3739"\w* used \w to|strong="G3825"\w* try \w to|strong="G3825"\w* follow \w that|strong="G3739"\w* law \w to|strong="G3825"\w* get God \w to|strong="G3825"\w* say \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w*’m \w all|strong="G1063"\w* right, \w but|strong="G1487"\w* \w then|strong="G1063"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* found \w out|strong="G1063"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* \w just|strong="G3739"\w* \w have|strong="G3778"\w* \w to|strong="G3825"\w* believe \w in|strong="G1063"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G3778"\w*. \w So|strong="G1063"\w* now \w I|strong="G3739"\w* \w can|strong="G1063"\w*’t \w go|strong="G3739"\w* \w back|strong="G3825"\w* \w and|strong="G3778"\w* think \w that|strong="G3739"\w* law \w will|strong="G3739"\w* \w make|strong="G4921"\w* \w me|strong="G1683"\w* \w all|strong="G1063"\w* right. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* \w do|strong="G2647"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w*, \w then|strong="G1063"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* really \w will|strong="G3739"\w* \w be|strong="G3778"\w* guilty.

\v 19-20 You see, I used to try to follow that law, so that law controlled me. I tried to do everything in that law, but I couldn’t do it, so the law said that I had to die. But then I stopped thinking about that law, and I turned around to follow Jesus, and now he controls me, and God makes me properly alive. And you know that Jesus died on a cross. Well, I believe in Jesus, so it is like I died there too. But Jesus is alive now, so I’m alive now too. You see, Jesus lives inside me, right here in my body. And he gets me to do the things that God wants me to do. He is God’s son. He loved me, and he gave up his life and died for me.  
\v 21 \w Yes|strong="G1063"\w*, \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* really \w good|strong="G1223"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* us, \w and|strong="G2316"\w* \w he|strong="G3588"\w* really \w did|strong="G2316"\w* \w a|strong="G1487"\w* lot \w for|strong="G1063"\w* us. \w I|strong="G1063"\w* \w will|strong="G2316"\w* \w never|strong="G3756"\w* change \w my|strong="G2316"\w* mind \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*. \w You|strong="G1487"\w* see, \w we|strong="G1063"\w* \w can|strong="G1063"\w*’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* become \w good|strong="G1223"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w by|strong="G1223"\w* following \w the|strong="G1223"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w we|strong="G1063"\w* \w could|strong="G3588"\w* \w do|strong="G1223"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w it|strong="G1063"\w* \w would|strong="G2316"\w* mean \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G3756"\w* \w died|strong="G3588"\w* \w for|strong="G1063"\w* \w nothing|strong="G3756"\w*. \w But|strong="G1487"\w*, \w of|strong="G1223"\w* course, \w he|strong="G3588"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w*.

\s1 God gives us his spirit when we believe in Jesus

\v 1 Listen, \w you|strong="G5210"\w* mob \w in|strong="G2596"\w* Galatia, \w I|strong="G3739"\w* told \w you|strong="G5210"\w* clearly \w why|strong="G5101"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* died. \w It|strong="G3739"\w* \w is|strong="G5101"\w* \w like|strong="G2596"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* painted \w a|strong="G3739"\w* picture \w of|strong="G2596"\w* \w him|strong="G3739"\w* \w on|strong="G2596"\w* \w the|strong="G2596"\w* cross \w for|strong="G2424"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w all|strong="G2596"\w* \w to|strong="G2596"\w* see. \w But|strong="G3739"\w* now \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G3739"\w* forgetting \w him|strong="G3739"\w*. \w You|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G3739"\w* \w so|strong="G3739"\w* silly, \w it|strong="G3739"\w*’s \w like|strong="G2596"\w* somebody tricked \w you|strong="G5210"\w*.  
\v 2 Think \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w*. \w When|strong="G2309"\w* \w did|strong="G3588"\w* \w he|strong="G3778"\w* \w come|strong="G2228"\w* \w into|strong="G4102"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w*? \w Was|strong="G3588"\w* \w it|strong="G3778"\w* \w when|strong="G2309"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w were|strong="G3588"\w* trying \w to|strong="G2309"\w* follow \w the|strong="G1537"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*? \w No|strong="G3588"\w*, \w it|strong="G3778"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w when|strong="G2309"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w believed|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* news \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1537"\w*.  
\v 3 \w You|strong="G1510"\w* started your Christian \w life|strong="G4561"\w* \w with|strong="G4151"\w* \w the|strong="G4151"\w* power \w of|strong="G4151"\w* God’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w*, \w and|strong="G4151"\w* \w now|strong="G3568"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* trying \w to|strong="G1510"\w* keep \w it|strong="G3779"\w* going \w with|strong="G4151"\w* \w just|strong="G3779"\w* your own power. \w That|strong="G3779"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* really stupid.  
\v 4 \w You|strong="G1487"\w* \w believed|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w good|strong="G2532"\w* news \w about|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w then|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w went|strong="G2532"\w* through \w a|strong="G2532"\w* lot \w of|strong="G2532"\w* trouble. \w Was|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G2532"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w for|strong="G2532"\w* \w nothing|strong="G1500"\w*? \w I|strong="G2532"\w* \w hope|strong="G2532"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* \w was|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G2532"\w* \w for|strong="G2532"\w* \w nothing|strong="G1500"\w*.

\v 19 \w But|strong="G3767"\w* maybe somebody \w is|strong="G3588"\w* asking, “\w Why|strong="G5101"\w* \w did|strong="G5101"\w* \w God|strong="G1861"\w* \w give|strong="G2064"\w* \w his|strong="G1223"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w his|strong="G1223"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w*?” \w This|strong="G3588"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* answer. \w His|strong="G1223"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w kept|strong="G3739"\w* \w on|strong="G1722"\w* doing bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, \w so|strong="G3767"\w* \w God|strong="G1861"\w* \w gave|strong="G1299"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w his|strong="G1223"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*. \w And|strong="G2064"\w* \w he|strong="G3739"\w* wanted \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w follow|strong="G3767"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w until|strong="G2064"\w* Abraham’s special grand-son \w came|strong="G2064"\w*. \w This|strong="G3588"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* grand-son \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w God|strong="G1861"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* talking \w about|strong="G1722"\w* \w a|strong="G1722"\w* long \w time|strong="G3739"\w* ago \w when|strong="G1722"\w* \w he|strong="G3739"\w* \w promised|strong="G1861"\w* \w good|strong="G1223"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* Abraham. \w You|strong="G3739"\w* see, \w God|strong="G1861"\w* \w gave|strong="G1299"\w* \w his|strong="G1223"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* like \w this|strong="G3588"\w*. \w He|strong="G3739"\w* used \w his|strong="G1223"\w* angel messengers \w to|strong="G2064"\w* tell \w it|strong="G3739"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* Moses. \w He|strong="G3739"\w* \w was|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G1722"\w* \w man|strong="G5101"\w* \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w stood|strong="G3588"\w* \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* middle, \w between|strong="G3316"\w* \w God|strong="G1861"\w* \w and|strong="G2064"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w*, \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w help|strong="G5495"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* listen \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w God|strong="G1861"\w*.  
\v 20 \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* know \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G1510"\w* \w man|strong="G1520"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* stands \w in|strong="G2316"\w* \w the|strong="G1161"\w* middle \w has|strong="G2316"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* listen \w to|strong="G3756"\w* \w both|strong="G1161"\w* sides \w and|strong="G1161"\w* help \w sort|strong="G2316"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w out|strong="G2316"\w*. \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w when|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* talked \w to|strong="G3756"\w* Abraham, \w he|strong="G1161"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* need anyone \w to|strong="G3756"\w* stand \w in|strong="G2316"\w* \w the|strong="G1161"\w* middle. \w God|strong="G2316"\w* himself promised \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* Abraham.

\v 21 \w But|strong="G1487"\w* somebody \w might|strong="G1410"\w* \w say|strong="G1537"\w*, “\w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w did|strong="G1510"\w* \w something|strong="G1510"\w* wrong. \w He|strong="G3588"\w* \w gave|strong="G1325"\w* \w a|strong="G1096"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* goes \w against|strong="G2596"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w he|strong="G3588"\w* \w promised|strong="G1860"\w*.” \w That|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w not|strong="G3361"\w* \w right|strong="G1343"\w*. \w No|strong="G3361"\w* \w way|strong="G2596"\w*. \w You|strong="G1487"\w* see, \w if|strong="G1487"\w* \w a|strong="G1096"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w can|strong="G1410"\w* \w give|strong="G1325"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w* \w real|strong="G3689"\w* \w life|strong="G2227"\w*, \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w would|strong="G1096"\w* \w give|strong="G1325"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w*, \w and|strong="G2316"\w* \w we|strong="G1063"\w* \w would|strong="G1096"\w* \w follow|strong="G3767"\w* \w it|strong="G1063"\w* \w and|strong="G2316"\w* \w become|strong="G1096"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w*. \w But|strong="G1487"\w* \w no|strong="G3361"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w can|strong="G1410"\w* \w do|strong="G1096"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*.  
\v 22 \w God|strong="G1325"\w* says \w in|strong="G3956"\w* \w his|strong="G3956"\w* \w book|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w everyone|strong="G3956"\w* \w does|strong="G4100"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3956"\w*. \w They|strong="G3588"\w* \w can|strong="G1325"\w*’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* stop doing \w those|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3956"\w*. \w But|strong="G3588"\w* \w if|strong="G2443"\w* \w we|strong="G2443"\w* listen \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w God|strong="G1325"\w* \w promises|strong="G1860"\w* \w us|strong="G1325"\w*, \w and|strong="G2424"\w* \w if|strong="G2443"\w* \w we|strong="G2443"\w* \w believe|strong="G4100"\w* \w in|strong="G3956"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w he|strong="G3588"\w* \w will|strong="G3956"\w* save \w us|strong="G1325"\w*.

\v 23-25 But before Jesus Christ came, the law was like a boss, and like a school teacher for us Jewish people. It controlled us, and it looked after us. God wanted it to be like that, until Jesus came. We waited for God to send him, so that we can trust him. And then Jesus came, and now we trust him, and God says we are all right. So now we don’t need that law to be a boss or a school teacher for us any more.

\v 26 \w It|strong="G1063"\w*’s \w like|strong="G5207"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w now|strong="G1510"\w*. \w You|strong="G1722"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w believe|strong="G4102"\w* \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w so|strong="G1223"\w* \w you|strong="G1722"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* joined \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w him|strong="G3588"\w*, \w and|strong="G2316"\w* \w you|strong="G1722"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*’s kids.  
\v 27 \w You|strong="G3745"\w* know, when \w the|strong="G1519"\w* church leaders baptised \w you|strong="G3745"\w*, \w they|strong="G1063"\w* took \w you|strong="G3745"\w* \w through|strong="G3745"\w* \w that|strong="G1519"\w* special washing ceremony \w to|strong="G1519"\w* show \w that|strong="G1519"\w* \w you|strong="G3745"\w* \w are|strong="G3745"\w* joined \w to|strong="G1519"\w* Jesus \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w and|strong="G5547"\w* now \w it|strong="G1063"\w* \w is|strong="G5547"\w* like \w you|strong="G3745"\w* \w are|strong="G3745"\w* \w wearing|strong="G1746"\w* new clothes. \w It|strong="G1063"\w* \w is|strong="G5547"\w* like \w you|strong="G3745"\w* \w are|strong="G3745"\w* \w wearing|strong="G1746"\w* Jesus \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* \w himself|strong="G1519"\w*.  
\v 28 \w You|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* joined \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* joined \w to|strong="G2532"\w* each \w other|strong="G1520"\w*. \w You|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* different \w from|strong="G2532"\w* each \w other|strong="G1520"\w* \w any|strong="G3956"\w* \w more|strong="G2532"\w*. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* doesn’t matter \w if|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jew|strong="G2453"\w* \w or|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w*. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* doesn’t matter \w if|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w man|strong="G3956"\w* \w or|strong="G2532"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w woman|strong="G1658"\w*. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* doesn’t matter \w if|strong="G2532"\w* somebody keeps \w you|strong="G5210"\w* like \w a|strong="G2532"\w* prisoner, \w or|strong="G2532"\w* \w if|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w free|strong="G1658"\w*. \w None|strong="G3756"\w* \w of|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G3956"\w* matters. \w You|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* joined \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w same|strong="G2532"\w* \w as|strong="G1722"\w* each \w other|strong="G1520"\w*.

\v 2 \w He|strong="G2532"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w his|strong="G2532"\w* teachers \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w other|strong="G3588"\w* bosses told \w him|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w*, \w until|strong="G2532"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* grew \w up|strong="G2532"\w*. \w He|strong="G2532"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* wait \w for|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* right time \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w come|strong="G1510"\w*, \w the|strong="G2532"\w* time \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w his|strong="G2532"\w* \w father|strong="G3962"\w* told \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w before|strong="G3588"\w* \w he|strong="G2532"\w* \w died|strong="G3588"\w*.  
\v 3 \w Now|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w*’ll tell \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* picture story \w is|strong="G1510"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w about|strong="G3588"\w*. \w We|strong="G2249"\w* \w were|strong="G1510"\w* \w like|strong="G3779"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* little kid. \w We|strong="G2249"\w* \w had|strong="G2532"\w* bosses \w too|strong="G2532"\w*. \w The|strong="G2532"\w* bad \w spirits|strong="G2889"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* bosses \w over|strong="G5259"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w world|strong="G2889"\w*, \w they|strong="G2532"\w* \w were|strong="G1510"\w* \w our|strong="G2532"\w* bosses.  
\v 4 \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w just|strong="G3588"\w* \w like|strong="G5207"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* little kid, \w we|strong="G1161"\w* \w had|strong="G2316"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* wait \w for|strong="G1161"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* right \w time|strong="G5550"\w* \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w come|strong="G2064"\w*. \w Then|strong="G1161"\w*, \w when|strong="G3753"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* right \w time|strong="G5550"\w* \w came|strong="G2064"\w*, \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w sent|strong="G1821"\w* \w his|strong="G5259"\w* own \w son|strong="G5207"\w* \w from|strong="G1537"\w* heaven \w to|strong="G2064"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* earth. \w He|strong="G1161"\w* \w was|strong="G1096"\w* \w born|strong="G1096"\w* \w from|strong="G1537"\w* \w a|strong="G1096"\w* normal \w woman|strong="G1135"\w* \w into|strong="G2064"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* Jewish nation, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w did|strong="G1096"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* Jewish \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w said|strong="G1161"\w*.  
\v 5 \w And|strong="G3551"\w* \w then|strong="G2443"\w* \w he|strong="G3588"\w* took \w the|strong="G3588"\w* payback \w for|strong="G2443"\w* \w all|strong="G3588"\w* \w of|strong="G5259"\w* us, \w the|strong="G3588"\w* payback \w for|strong="G2443"\w* \w the|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w we|strong="G2443"\w* \w did|strong="G3588"\w*, \w and|strong="G3551"\w* \w he|strong="G3588"\w* \w set|strong="G2443"\w* us free. \w So|strong="G2443"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w* took us \w into|strong="G5259"\w* \w his|strong="G5259"\w* family \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w be|strong="G2443"\w* \w his|strong="G5259"\w* proper kids, \w and|strong="G3551"\w* \w we|strong="G2443"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w have|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* follow \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w any|strong="G2443"\w* more.

\s1 Don’t let the bad spirits be your bosses

\v 8 \w At|strong="G3756"\w* \w first|strong="G3588"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* didn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w know|strong="G1492"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*. \w Those|strong="G3588"\w* \w other|strong="G3756"\w* bad spirits \w were|strong="G1510"\w* \w your|strong="G3588"\w* bosses. \w Those|strong="G3588"\w* spirits \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w gods|strong="G2316"\w* \w at|strong="G3756"\w* \w all|strong="G3361"\w*, \w but|strong="G3361"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* couldn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* get free \w from|strong="G3588"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*.  
\v 9 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w then|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G3739"\w* \w heard|strong="G1097"\w* \w about|strong="G1909"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w*, \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G3739"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w* \w know|strong="G1097"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*, \w or|strong="G2532"\w* really, \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w knows|strong="G1097"\w* \w you|strong="G3739"\w*. \w So|strong="G2532"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w turn|strong="G1994"\w* \w back|strong="G3825"\w* \w now|strong="G1161"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* weak \w and|strong="G2532"\w* useless spirits \w that|strong="G3739"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* bosses \w over|strong="G1909"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* world. Don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w let|strong="G1161"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w your|strong="G2532"\w* bosses \w again|strong="G3825"\w*.

\v 5 \w But|strong="G1063"\w* listen, \w we|strong="G2249"\w* trust \w Jesus|strong="G1537"\w* \w to|strong="G1537"\w* make \w us|strong="G2249"\w* properly good, \w and|strong="G4151"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* \w Holy|strong="G4151"\w* \w Spirit|strong="G4151"\w* tells \w us|strong="G2249"\w* \w for|strong="G1063"\w* sure \w that|strong="G1063"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G1537"\w* \w will|strong="G1473"\w* \w do|strong="G4151"\w* \w that|strong="G1063"\w*. \w So|strong="G1063"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w are|strong="G2249"\w* waiting \w for|strong="G1063"\w* \w him|strong="G1537"\w* \w to|strong="G1537"\w* \w do|strong="G4151"\w* \w it|strong="G1063"\w*, \w and|strong="G4151"\w* \w we|strong="G2249"\w* \w know|strong="G1537"\w* \w he|strong="G1063"\w* \w will|strong="G1473"\w*.  
\v 6 \w You|strong="G1722"\w* see, if \w people|strong="G5100"\w* belong \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w it|strong="G1063"\w* doesn’t \w matter|strong="G5100"\w* if \w they|strong="G1063"\w* \w have|strong="G5547"\w* \w a|strong="G1722"\w* \w young|strong="G5100"\w* \w man|strong="G5100"\w* operation \w or|strong="G3777"\w* \w not|strong="G2480"\w*. \w The|strong="G1722"\w* only \w thing|strong="G5100"\w* \w that|strong="G1722"\w* matters \w is|strong="G5547"\w* \w that|strong="G1722"\w* \w they|strong="G1063"\w* trust \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w*, \w and|strong="G2424"\w* if \w they|strong="G1063"\w* \w do|strong="G1223"\w* \w that|strong="G1722"\w*, \w they|strong="G1063"\w* \w will|strong="G5100"\w* love God, \w and|strong="G2424"\w* \w they|strong="G1063"\w* \w will|strong="G5100"\w* love \w other|strong="G5100"\w* \w people|strong="G5100"\w*.

\v 7 \w You|strong="G5210"\w* mob \w were|strong="G5101"\w* following Jesus really \w good|strong="G2573"\w*, like \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w were|strong="G5101"\w* \w running|strong="G5143"\w* \w in|strong="G3361"\w* \w a|strong="G3361"\w* race \w and|strong="G3982"\w* \w were|strong="G5101"\w* nearly winning \w it|strong="G5101"\w*. \w But|strong="G3361"\w* then somebody got \w in|strong="G3361"\w* \w your|strong="G5101"\w* way, \w so|strong="G3361"\w* now \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w are|strong="G5101"\w* \w not|strong="G3361"\w* winning. Somebody stopped \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w from|strong="G3361"\w* believing \w the|strong="G3361"\w* true story, \w and|strong="G3982"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* stopped living \w the|strong="G3361"\w* \w right|strong="G2573"\w* way.  
\v 8 \w That|strong="G3588"\w* wrong message \w did|strong="G3588"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w come|strong="G1537"\w* \w from|strong="G1537"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w*. \w No|strong="G3756"\w*, \w God|strong="G3588"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1537"\w* \w one|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* picked \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G3756"\w* \w be|strong="G3756"\w* \w his|strong="G2564"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 9 I’ll \w use|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G3588"\w* picture story \w about|strong="G3588"\w* cooking damper. If you put \w a|strong="G3588"\w* \w little|strong="G3398"\w* bit \w of|strong="G3588"\w* baking powder into \w a|strong="G3588"\w* big lot \w of|strong="G3588"\w* flour, \w it|strong="G3588"\w* will make \w it|strong="G3588"\w* \w all|strong="G3650"\w* swell up. Well \w just|strong="G3588"\w* like \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, somebody told \w a|strong="G3588"\w* few \w of|strong="G3588"\w* you \w the|strong="G3588"\w* wrong message, \w and|strong="G3588"\w* now \w a|strong="G3588"\w* lot \w of|strong="G3588"\w* you \w are|strong="G3588"\w* going wrong.\x * \xo 5:9 \xt 1 Corinthians 5:6\x*  
\v 10 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w*’m \w trusting|strong="G3982"\w* \w God|strong="G2962"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* help \w you|strong="G5210"\w*. \w I|strong="G1473"\w* reckon \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* stop \w following|strong="G1722"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* wrong \w way|strong="G1722"\w* \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* \w follow|strong="G1161"\w* \w my|strong="G1722"\w* words. \w And|strong="G1161"\w*, \w as|strong="G1519"\w* \w for|strong="G3754"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w man|strong="G3762"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* getting \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w all|strong="G1722"\w* mixed \w up|strong="G1519"\w*, \w I|strong="G1473"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w know|strong="G1722"\w* \w who|strong="G3588"\w* \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w*, \w but|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w know|strong="G1722"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w God|strong="G2962"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* punish \w him|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 11 Listen, \w my|strong="G1473"\w* Christian friends, \w some|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* reckon \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w still|strong="G2089"\w* tell \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w have|strong="G1473"\w* \w a|strong="G1487"\w* young \w man|strong="G5101"\w* operation, \w but|strong="G1161"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w not|strong="G1473"\w* right. \w I|strong="G1473"\w* teach \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* Jesus Christ \w died|strong="G3588"\w* \w on|strong="G1161"\w* \w the|strong="G1161"\w* \w cross|strong="G4716"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w save|strong="G1487"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* Jews \w that|strong="G3588"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* like Jesus, \w they|strong="G1161"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* always giving \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w a|strong="G1487"\w* lot \w of|strong="G3588"\w* trouble. \w That|strong="G3588"\w* shows \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* tell anyone \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w have|strong="G1473"\w* \w a|strong="G1487"\w* young \w man|strong="G5101"\w* operation. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w did|strong="G5101"\w* tell \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G5101"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w then|strong="G1161"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* Jewish mob wouldn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* get angry \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w give|strong="G1473"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* trouble.

Instead \w of|strong="G1223"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w have|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* love \w each|strong="G1519"\w* \w other|strong="G3588"\w* \w and|strong="G4561"\w* \w do|strong="G3361"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1519"\w* help \w each|strong="G1519"\w* \w other|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 15 Don’t \w be|strong="G2532"\w* like \w wild|strong="G2532"\w* animals. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* fight each \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w eat|strong="G2719"\w* each \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* time. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* don’t love each \w other|strong="G1161"\w*, \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G2532"\w* \w just|strong="G2532"\w* like \w them|strong="G2532"\w*. \w So|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* careful. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* fight each \w other|strong="G1161"\w*, \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w might|strong="G2532"\w* properly finish each \w other|strong="G1161"\w*.

\v 19 \w You|strong="G1510"\w* see, everybody knows \w about|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G1161"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* make \w themselves|strong="G1510"\w* feel \w good|strong="G3588"\w*. \w They|strong="G1161"\w* sleep \w with|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w* \w their|strong="G3588"\w* own wives \w or|strong="G1161"\w* husbands, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* married \w people|strong="G1510"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* together. \w They|strong="G1161"\w* think \w about|strong="G3588"\w* dirty \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w then|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. \w They|strong="G1161"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* try \w to|strong="G1161"\w* control \w their|strong="G3588"\w* bad thoughts.  
\v 20 They respect the spirits that are not God. They try to get bad spirits to hurt other people. They hate other people, \w and|strong="G2205"\w* they fight other people. They want to be like some other person, \w and|strong="G2205"\w* if they can’t be, they hate that other person. They get very \w angry|strong="G2372"\w*. They want to be more important than everybody else. They will not agree \w with|strong="G2189"\w* other people, so they split off into separate groups.  
\v 21 \w They|strong="G2532"\w* want \w things|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* belong \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w other|strong="G3739"\w* \w people|strong="G3778"\w*. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* \w get|strong="G2532"\w* drunk. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* \w wild|strong="G2532"\w* parties \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G4238"\w* \w all|strong="G2532"\w* sorts \w of|strong="G2316"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3778"\w*. Listen, \w I|strong="G3739"\w*’m \w telling|strong="G4302"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w again|strong="G2532"\w* \w what|strong="G3739"\w* \w I|strong="G3739"\w* \w told|strong="G4302"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w before|strong="G3588"\w*. \w People|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w keep|strong="G4238"\w* \w on|strong="G3756"\w* \w doing|strong="G4238"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3778"\w* \w will|strong="G2316"\w* \w never|strong="G3756"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w in|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*’s family. \w They|strong="G2532"\w* \w will|strong="G2316"\w* \w never|strong="G3756"\w* \w get|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w things|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w will|strong="G2316"\w* give \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w people|strong="G3778"\w* \w in|strong="G2532"\w* \w his|strong="G2532"\w* family.

\v 22 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w if|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* controls \w people|strong="G1510"\w*, \w he|strong="G1161"\w* gets \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. \w You|strong="G1510"\w* know \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w a|strong="G1510"\w* \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w fruit|strong="G2590"\w* tree always gets \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w fruit|strong="G2590"\w* \w on|strong="G1161"\w* \w it|strong="G1161"\w*. Well, like \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w a|strong="G1510"\w* person \w with|strong="G4151"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* \w does|strong="G1510"\w* \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. \w If|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w let|strong="G1161"\w* \w God|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* \w lead|strong="G1510"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w*, \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* get \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* love \w God|strong="G3588"\w* \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* love \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w*. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* \w be|strong="G1510"\w* happy. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* feel \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w and|strong="G1161"\w* quiet inside yourself \w so|strong="G1161"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w* fight \w with|strong="G4151"\w* \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w*. \w God|strong="G3588"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* inside \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* help \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w be|strong="G1510"\w* \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w* get angry, \w even|strong="G1161"\w* \w if|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G1161"\w* give \w you|strong="G1510"\w* trouble. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* get \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w be|strong="G1510"\w* friendly \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w*, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w he|strong="G1161"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* get \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G1510"\w* \w good|strong="G5544"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. \w He|strong="G1161"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* make \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w the|strong="G1161"\w* sort \w of|strong="G4151"\w* person \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G1510"\w* can trust.  
\v 23 \w He|strong="G3588"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* stop \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w from|strong="G2596"\w* thinking \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* too important, \w and|strong="G3551"\w* \w he|strong="G3588"\w* \w will|strong="G1510"\w* help \w you|strong="G1510"\w* \w to|strong="G2596"\w* control yourself. \w And|strong="G3551"\w* \w there|strong="G1510"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* \w no|strong="G3756"\w* \w law|strong="G3551"\w* \w to|strong="G2596"\w* stop anybody doing \w any|strong="G3756"\w* \w of|strong="G3551"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 24 \w You|strong="G2532"\w* see, sometimes doing bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w* makes \w people|strong="G4561"\w* feel \w good|strong="G3588"\w*. \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* belong \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* stop doing \w those|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. \w That|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w part|strong="G2532"\w* inside \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w might|strong="G2532"\w* \w make|strong="G2532"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* feel like doing \w those|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, \w but|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G2532"\w* don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w take|strong="G2532"\w* any notice \w of|strong="G2532"\w* \w it|strong="G2532"\w* any \w more|strong="G2532"\w*. \w It|strong="G2532"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* like \w they|strong="G2532"\w* nailed \w it|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* cross \w and|strong="G2532"\w* killed \w it|strong="G2532"\w*.

\v 26 \w We|strong="G3361"\w* can’t reckon \w we|strong="G3361"\w* \w are|strong="G1096"\w* better \w than|strong="G3361"\w* anyone \w else|strong="G3361"\w*. \w We|strong="G3361"\w* can’t \w do|strong="G1096"\w* things \w that|strong="G1096"\w* \w make|strong="G3361"\w* \w other|strong="G3361"\w* \w people|strong="G3361"\w* angry, \w so|strong="G3361"\w* \w that|strong="G1096"\w* \w we|strong="G3361"\w* start fighting each \w other|strong="G3361"\w*. \w And|strong="G1096"\w* \w we|strong="G3361"\w* can’t wish \w we|strong="G3361"\w* \w are|strong="G1096"\w* like somebody \w else|strong="G3361"\w*, \w and|strong="G1096"\w* then hate \w that|strong="G1096"\w* \w other|strong="G3361"\w* person.

Remember, Satan tries \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w get|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w too|strong="G2532"\w*, \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* careful.  
\v 2 \w You|strong="G3779"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* help each \w other|strong="G3588"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w strong|strong="G2532"\w*. \w You|strong="G3779"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* help \w other|strong="G3588"\w* Christians \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w have|strong="G2532"\w* problems. \w If|strong="G2532"\w* \w you|strong="G3779"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w*, \w you|strong="G3779"\w* \w will|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* doing \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2532"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w* told \w you|strong="G3779"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w do|strong="G2532"\w*.  
\v 3 Don’t \w think|strong="G1380"\w* \w that|strong="G1487"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* too important \w to|strong="G5100"\w* help \w other|strong="G1438"\w* Christians. \w If|strong="G1487"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w not|strong="G3367"\w* very important, \w but|strong="G1487"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* reckon \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* really important, \w then|strong="G1063"\w* \w you|strong="G1487"\w* \w are|strong="G1510"\w* \w just|strong="G1438"\w* tricking \w yourself|strong="G1438"\w*.

Don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* look \w at|strong="G1519"\w* \w other|strong="G2087"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w think|strong="G2192"\w*, “\w Am|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w* better \w than|strong="G2532"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*?”

\v 8 Well, \w it|strong="G3754"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* like \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w with|strong="G1537"\w* \w us|strong="G1519"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w*. \w Some|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w* \w do|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, like \w a|strong="G1519"\w* gardener \w that|strong="G3754"\w* plants \w the|strong="G1519"\w* seeds \w of|strong="G1537"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* plants. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w some|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w* \w do|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, like \w a|strong="G1519"\w* gardener \w that|strong="G3754"\w* plants rubbish seeds. \w Some|strong="G3588"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w* \w only|strong="G1438"\w* think \w about|strong="G1519"\w* \w what|strong="G3588"\w* \w will|strong="G3748"\w* \w make|strong="G1519"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* feel \w good|strong="G3588"\w*, \w so|strong="G1161"\w* \w they|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G3588"\w* bad \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. Later \w God|strong="G1519"\w* \w will|strong="G3748"\w* pay \w them|strong="G3588"\w* \w with|strong="G1537"\w* something bad. \w They|strong="G1161"\w* \w will|strong="G3748"\w* die. \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G4561"\w* listen \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w God|strong="G1519"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w do|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*. Later \w God|strong="G1519"\w* \w will|strong="G3748"\w* \w do|strong="G3588"\w* something \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w for|strong="G3754"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*. \w God|strong="G1519"\w*’s \w spirit|strong="G4151"\w* \w will|strong="G3748"\w* \w let|strong="G1161"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* live \w with|strong="G1537"\w* \w him|strong="G3588"\w* \w for|strong="G3754"\w* \w ever|strong="G1519"\w*.

\v 9 \w So|strong="G1161"\w* \w we|strong="G1063"\w* \w have|strong="G4160"\w* \w to|strong="G1161"\w* \w keep|strong="G4160"\w* going \w the|strong="G1161"\w* \w right|strong="G2570"\w* way. Don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* get tired \w of|strong="G3588"\w* \w doing|strong="G4160"\w* \w good|strong="G2570"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* later, \w God|strong="G3361"\w* \w will|strong="G4160"\w* \w give|strong="G4160"\w* \w you|strong="G4160"\w* lots \w of|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G2570"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w*.  
\v 10 \w You|strong="G3956"\w* see, \w every|strong="G3956"\w* \w time|strong="G2540"\w* \w we|strong="G1161"\w* can \w do|strong="G2192"\w* something \w good|strong="G3956"\w* \w for|strong="G4314"\w* somebody, \w we|strong="G1161"\w* \w have|strong="G2192"\w* \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w do|strong="G2192"\w* \w it|strong="G1161"\w*. \w If|strong="G5613"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* person believes \w in|strong="G3956"\w* Jesus, \w they|strong="G1161"\w* belong \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w the|strong="G3956"\w* \w same|strong="G5613"\w* family \w as|strong="G5613"\w* us, \w so|strong="G3767"\w* \w we|strong="G1161"\w* really \w have|strong="G2192"\w* \w to|strong="G4314"\w* \w do|strong="G2192"\w* \w good|strong="G3956"\w* \w things|strong="G3956"\w* \w for|strong="G4314"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 12 \w Some|strong="G3588"\w* Jewish Christians \w are|strong="G3588"\w* trying \w to|strong="G2443"\w* force \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w have|strong="G2309"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* young \w man|strong="G3778"\w* operation. \w They|strong="G3588"\w* \w want|strong="G2309"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w other|strong="G2443"\w* Jews \w to|strong="G2443"\w* think \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w follow|strong="G1377"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Jewish law. \w You|strong="G5210"\w* see, \w those|strong="G3588"\w* \w other|strong="G2443"\w* Jews \w will|strong="G2309"\w* \w make|strong="G2146"\w* trouble \w for|strong="G1722"\w* anyone \w that|strong="G2443"\w* believes \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G3778"\w* \w died|strong="G3588"\w* \w on|strong="G1722"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w cross|strong="G4716"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w save|strong="G3361"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w*, \w and|strong="G4561"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Jewish Christians don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* \w want|strong="G2309"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* get \w that|strong="G2443"\w* trouble.  
\v 13 \w But|strong="G1063"\w*, \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w know|strong="G1722"\w*, \w even|strong="G3761"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Jews don’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* follow \w the|strong="G1722"\w* Jewish \w law|strong="G3551"\w* properly \w themselves|strong="G1722"\w*. \w Those|strong="G3588"\w* Jewish Christians only \w want|strong="G2309"\w* \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* get \w that|strong="G2443"\w* operation, \w and|strong="G4561"\w* \w be|strong="G2443"\w* \w like|strong="G2309"\w* Jews, \w so|strong="G2443"\w* \w they|strong="G3588"\w* \w can|strong="G1063"\w* tell everybody \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w they|strong="G3588"\w* got \w you|strong="G5210"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w be|strong="G2443"\w* Jewish. \w They|strong="G3588"\w* \w want|strong="G2309"\w* \w to|strong="G2443"\w* \w use|strong="G3588"\w* \w your|strong="G5212"\w* bodies \w like|strong="G2309"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w*, \w to|strong="G2443"\w* get \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w other|strong="G2443"\w* Jews \w to|strong="G2443"\w* say \w they|strong="G3588"\w* \w are|strong="G3588"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w*.

\v 14 \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w never|strong="G3361"\w* want \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* anything \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w get|strong="G1096"\w* \w other|strong="G1161"\w* \w people|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w say|strong="G1223"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w am|strong="G1473"\w* \w good|strong="G1223"\w*. \w The|strong="G1722"\w* \w only|strong="G1487"\w* \w good|strong="G1223"\w* \w one|strong="G3739"\w* \w for|strong="G1223"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*. \w He|strong="G1161"\w* \w died|strong="G3588"\w* \w for|strong="G1223"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w* \w on|strong="G1722"\w* \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w cross|strong="G4716"\w*. \w And|strong="G1161"\w* \w when|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* think \w about|strong="G1722"\w* \w him|strong="G3588"\w*, \w the|strong="G1722"\w* \w things|strong="G3588"\w* \w of|strong="G1223"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w world|strong="G2889"\w* mean \w nothing|strong="G3361"\w* \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w me|strong="G1473"\w*, \w and|strong="G1161"\w* \w I|strong="G1473"\w* \w am|strong="G1473"\w* \w nothing|strong="G3361"\w* \w to|strong="G1722"\w* \w this|strong="G3588"\w* \w world|strong="G2889"\w*.

\v 15 \w You|strong="G1510"\w* see, \w it|strong="G1063"\w* doesn’t \w matter|strong="G5100"\w* if \w somebody|strong="G5100"\w* \w did|strong="G5101"\w* \w a|strong="G1510"\w* \w young|strong="G5100"\w* \w man|strong="G5100"\w* operation \w on|strong="G4061"\w* \w you|strong="G1510"\w*, \w or|strong="G3777"\w* \w not|strong="G1510"\w*. \w The|strong="G1063"\w* most important \w thing|strong="G5100"\w* \w is|strong="G1510"\w* \w this|strong="G5101"\w*. God changed \w you|strong="G1510"\w* into \w a|strong="G1510"\w* \w new|strong="G2537"\w* \w person|strong="G5101"\w*.  
\v 16 \w So|strong="G2532"\w* \w I|strong="G2532"\w*’m asking \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w good|strong="G3588"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w all|strong="G3745"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w people|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w say|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* young \w man|strong="G3778"\w* operation doesn’\w t|strong="G3588"\w* matter. \w I|strong="G2532"\w*’m asking \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w make|strong="G2532"\w* \w them|strong="G3588"\w* happy \w and|strong="G2532"\w* quiet inside \w themselves|strong="G1438"\w*. \w I|strong="G2532"\w*’m asking \w this|strong="G3778"\w* \w for|strong="G1909"\w* \w all|strong="G3745"\w* \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w people|strong="G3778"\w* \w that|strong="G3588"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* picked \w to|strong="G2532"\w* \w be|strong="G2532"\w* \w his|strong="G1438"\w* \w own|strong="G1438"\w*, like \w he|strong="G2532"\w* picked \w the|strong="G2532"\w* \w Israel|strong="G2474"\w* \w people|strong="G3778"\w* \w a|strong="G2532"\w* \w long|strong="G3745"\w* \w time|strong="G1909"\w* ago.
