\v 5  \w This is evidence|strong="G1730"\w* \w of God’s|strong="G2316"\w* \w righteous|strong="G1342"\w* \w judgment|strong="G2920"\w*, \w to|strong="G1519"\w* \w make|strong="G2661"\w* \w you|strong="G5209"\w* \w worthy|strong="G2661"\w* \w of the kingdom|strong="G0932"\w* \w of God|strong="G2316"\w*, \w for|strong="G5228"\w* \w which|strong="G3739"\w* \w in fact you are suffering|strong="G3958"\w*.

\v 2  \w not|strong="G3361"\w* \w to be|strong="G4531"\w* \w easily|strong="G5030"\w* \w shaken|strong="G4531"\w* \w from|strong="G0575"\w* \w your composure|strong="G3563"\w* \w or|strong="G3366"\w* \w disturbed|strong="G2360"\w* \w by|strong="G1223"\w* \w any kind of spirit|strong="G4151"\w* \w or|strong="G3383"\w* \w message|strong="G3056"\w* \w or|strong="G3383"\w* \w letter|strong="G1992"\w* \w allegedly from|strong="G1223"\w* \w us|strong="G2257"\w*, \w to the effect that|strong="G3754"\w* \w the day|strong="G2250"\w* \w of the Lord|strong="G2962"\w* \w is already here|strong="G1764"\w*.  
\v 3  \w Let|strong="G1818"\w* \w no|strong="G3361"\w* \w one|strong="G5100"\w* \w deceive|strong="G1818"\w* \w you|strong="G5209"\w* \w in|strong="G2596"\w* \w any|strong="G3367"\w* \w way|strong="G5158"\w*. \w For|strong="G3754"\w* \w that day will|strong="G2064"\w* \w not|strong="G3361"\w* \w arrive|strong="G2064"\w* \w until the rebellion|strong="G0646"\w* \w comes|strong="G2532"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w the man|strong="G0444"\w* \w of lawlessness|strong="G0458"\w* \w is revealed|strong="G0601"\w*, \w the son|strong="G5207"\w* \w of destruction|strong="G0684"\w*.  
\v 4  \w He|strong="G0480"\w* \w opposes|strong="G0480"\w* \it  \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w exalts|strong="G5229"\+w* \+w himself above|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w every|strong="G3956"\+w*\it* \w so-called|strong="G3004"\w* \it  \+w god|strong="G2316"\+w*\it* \w or|strong="G2228"\w* \w object of worship|strong="G4574"\w*, \w and as a result|strong="G5620"\w* \it  \+w he takes|strong="G2523"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w seat|strong="G2523"\+w*\it* \w in|strong="G1519"\w* \w God’s|strong="G2316"\w* \w temple|strong="G3485"\w*, \w displaying|strong="G0584"\w* \w himself|strong="G1438"\w* \w as|strong="G3754"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w*.  
\v 5  \w Surely you recall|strong="G3421"\w* \w that|strong="G3754"\w* \w I used to tell|strong="G3004"\w* \w you|strong="G5213"\w* \w these things|strong="G5023"\w* \w while I|strong="G1510"\w* \w was still|strong="G2089"\w* \w with|strong="G4314"\w* \w you|strong="G5209"\w*.  
\v 6  \w And|strong="G2532"\w* \w so|strong="G3568"\w* \w you know|strong="G1492"\w* \w what holds|strong="G2722"\w* \w him back,|strong="G1519"\w* \w so|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G0846"\w* \w he will be revealed|strong="G0601"\w* \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w his own|strong="G0846"\w* \w time|strong="G2540"\w*.  
\v 7  \w For|strong="G1063"\w* \w the hidden|strong="G3466"\w* \w power of lawlessness|strong="G0458"\w* \w is already|strong="G2235"\w* \w at work|strong="G1754"\w*. \w However|strong="G3440"\w*, \w the one who holds|strong="G2722"\w* \w him back|strong="G2193"\w* \w will|strong="G1096"\w* \w do|strong="G1096"\w* \w so|strong="G1063"\w* \w until|strong="G2193"\w* \w he|strong="G2193"\w* \w is|strong="G3588"\w* \w taken|strong="G1096"\w* \w out|strong="G1537"\w* \w of|strong="G1537"\w* \w the|strong="G3588"\w* \w way|strong="G3319"\w*,  
\v 8  \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w then|strong="G5119"\w* \w the lawless one|strong="G0459"\w* \w will be revealed|strong="G0601"\w*, \w whom|strong="G3739"\w* \w the Lord|strong="G2962"\w* \w will destroy|strong="G0337"\w* \w by the breath|strong="G4151"\w* \w of his|strong="G0846"\w* \w mouth|strong="G4750"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w wipe out|strong="G2673"\w* \w by the manifestation|strong="G2015"\w* \w of his|strong="G0846"\w* \w arrival|strong="G3952"\w*.  
\v 9  \w The arrival|strong="G3952"\w* \w of the lawless one|strong="G3739"\w* \w will be|strong="G1510"\w* \w by|strong="G2596"\w* \w Satan’s|strong="G4567"\w* \w working|strong="G1753"\w* \w with|strong="G1722"\w* \w all kinds|strong="G3956"\w* \w of miracles|strong="G1411"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w signs|strong="G4592"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w false|strong="G5579"\w* \w wonders|strong="G5059"\w*,  
\v 10  \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w with|strong="G1722"\w* \w every kind|strong="G3956"\w* \w of evil|strong="G0093"\w* \w deception|strong="G0539"\w* \w directed against|strong="G0622"\w* \w those|strong="G3588"\w* \w who|strong="G3739"\w* \w are|strong="G3956"\w* \w perishing|strong="G0622"\w*, \w because|strong="G0473"\w* \w they found|strong="G1209"\w* \w no|strong="G3756"\w* \w place in|strong="G1209"\w* \w their hearts|strong="G1209"\w* \w for the truth|strong="G0225"\w* \w so as to be saved|strong="G4982"\w*.  
\v 11  \w Consequently|strong="G2532"\w* \w God|strong="G2316"\w* \w sends|strong="G3992"\w* \w on them|strong="G0846"\w* \w a deluding|strong="G4106"\w* \w influence|strong="G1753"\w* \w so that|strong="G1519"\w* \w they|strong="G0846"\w* \w will believe|strong="G4100"\w* \w what is false|strong="G5579"\w*.

\v 14  \w He called|strong="G2564"\w* \w you|strong="G5209"\w* \w to this salvation|strong="G1223"\w* \w through|strong="G1223"\w* \w our|strong="G2257"\w* \w gospel|strong="G2098"\w*, \w so that|strong="G1519"\w* \w you may possess|strong="G4047"\w* \w the glory|strong="G1391"\w* \w of our|strong="G2257"\w* \w Lord|strong="G2962"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*.

\v 2  \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w that|strong="G2443"\w* \w we may be delivered|strong="G4506"\w* \w from|strong="G0575"\w* \w perverse|strong="G0824"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w evil|strong="G4190"\w* \w people|strong="G0444"\w*. \w For|strong="G1063"\w* \w not|strong="G3756"\w* \w all|strong="G3956"\w* \w have faith|strong="G4102"\w*.

\v 6  \w But|strong="G1161"\w* \w we command|strong="G3853"\w* \w you|strong="G5213"\w*, \w brothers and sisters|strong="G0080"\w*, \w in|strong="G1722"\w* \w the name|strong="G3686"\w* \w of our Lord|strong="G2962"\w* \w Jesus|strong="G2424"\w* \w Christ|strong="G5547"\w*, \w to keep away|strong="G4724"\w* \w from|strong="G0575"\w* \w any|strong="G3956"\w* \w brother|strong="G0080"\w* \w who lives|strong="G4043"\w* \w an undisciplined|strong="G0814"\w* \w life|strong="G4043"\w* \w and|strong="G2532"\w* \w not|strong="G3361"\w* \w according to|strong="G2596"\w* \w the tradition|strong="G3862"\w* \w they|strong="G3880"\w* \w received|strong="G3880"\w* \w from|strong="G3844"\w* \w us|strong="G2257"\w*.
