\v 8 Now \w when|strong="H1121"\w* \w Lo-ruhamah|strong="H3819"\w* \w had|strong="H3205"\w* been taken \w from|strong="H1121"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* breast, \w the|strong="H0853"\w* woman \w gave|strong="H3205"\w* \w birth|strong="H3205"\w* \w to|strong="H3205"\w* \w a|strong="H3205"\w* \w son|strong="H1121"\w*. 
\v 9 \w And|strong="H8034"\w* \w the|strong="H0559"\w* Lord \w said|strong="H0559"\w*, \w Give|strong="H1961"\w* \w him|strong="H7121"\w* \w the|strong="H0559"\w* \w name|strong="H8034"\w* \w Lo-ammi|strong="H3818"\w*; \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w you|strong="H0859"\w* \w are|strong="H0859"\w* \w not|strong="H3808"\w* \w my|strong="H1961"\w* \w people|strong="H5971"\w*, \w and|strong="H8034"\w* \w I|strong="H0595"\w* \w will|strong="H1961"\w* \w not|strong="H3808"\w* \w be|strong="H1961"\w* \w your|strong="H3588"\w* \w God|strong="H0559"\w*. 
\v 10 But still the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which may not be measured or numbered; and in place of its being said to them, You are not my people, it will be said to them, You are the sons of the living God 
\v 11 And the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together and take for themselves one head, and will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.

\v 1 \w Say|strong="H0559"\w* \w to|strong="H0559"\w* \w your|strong="H0834"\w* brothers, Ammi; \w and|strong="H1121"\w* \w to|strong="H0559"\w* \w your|strong="H0834"\w* sisters, Ruhamah. 
\v 2 \w Take|strong="H7760"\w* \w up|strong="H5927"\w* \w the|strong="H3588"\w* cause \w against|strong="H4480"\w* \w your|strong="H7760"\w* mother, \w take|strong="H7760"\w* \w it|strong="H7760"\w* \w up|strong="H5927"\w*, \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w is|strong="H0776"\w* \w not|strong="H3588"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* wife, \w and|strong="H1121"\w* \w I|strong="H3588"\w* am \w not|strong="H3588"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* husband; \w let|strong="H7760"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* \w put|strong="H7760"\w* \w away|strong="H4480"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* loose ways \w from|strong="H4480"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* face, \w and|strong="H1121"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* false ways \w from|strong="H4480"\w* \w between|strong="H4480"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* breasts; 
\v 3 \w For|strong="H7355"\w* fear \w that|strong="H0559"\w* \w I|strong="H0559"\w* \w may|strong="H0251"\w* take away \w her|strong="H0559"\w* robe \w from|strong="H0251"\w* \w her|strong="H0559"\w*, making \w her|strong="H0559"\w* uncovered as \w in|strong="H0251"\w* \w the|strong="H0559"\w* day \w of|strong="H0251"\w* \w her|strong="H0559"\w* birth; making \w her|strong="H0559"\w* like \w a|strong="H0251"\w* waste place \w and|strong="H0251"\w* \w a|strong="H0251"\w* dry land, causing \w her|strong="H0559"\w* death through need \w of|strong="H0251"\w* water. 
\v 4 \w And|strong="H0376"\w* \w I|strong="H0595"\w* \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w have|strong="H0376"\w* \w no|strong="H3808"\w* mercy \w on|strong="H6440"\w* \w her|strong="H0802"\w* children, \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w they|strong="H3588"\w* \w are|strong="H0376"\w* \w the|strong="H6440"\w* children \w of|strong="H0376"\w* \w her|strong="H0802"\w* loose ways. 
\v 5 \w For|strong="H0776"\w* \w their|strong="H7760"\w* mother \w has|strong="H0776"\w* \w been|strong="H0776"\w* untrue; she \w who|strong="H3205"\w* \w gave|strong="H3205"\w* \w them|strong="H7896"\w* \w birth|strong="H3205"\w* \w has|strong="H0776"\w* done things \w of|strong="H0776"\w* shame, \w for|strong="H0776"\w* she said, \w I|strong="H3117"\w* \w will|strong="H0776"\w* go \w after|strong="H3117"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* lovers, \w who|strong="H3205"\w* \w give|strong="H3205"\w* \w me|strong="H7760"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* bread \w and|strong="H0776"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* water, \w my|strong="H7760"\w* wool \w and|strong="H0776"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* linen, \w my|strong="H7760"\w* oil \w and|strong="H0776"\w* \w my|strong="H7760"\w* wine. 
\v 6 \w For|strong="H3588"\w* \w this|strong="H3588"\w* cause \w I|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H1121"\w* put thorns \w in|strong="H1121"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* road, building \w up|strong="H0853"\w* \w a|strong="H3588"\w* wall round \w her|strong="H3588"\w* \w so|strong="H3808"\w* \w that|strong="H3588"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w may|strong="H1121"\w* \w not|strong="H3808"\w* go \w on|strong="H7355"\w* \w her|strong="H3588"\w* way. 
\v 7 \w And|strong="H3899"\w* \w if|strong="H3588"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* goes \w after|strong="H0310"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* \w lovers|strong="H0157"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* \w not|strong="H3588"\w* overtake \w them|strong="H5414"\w*; \w if|strong="H3588"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w makes|strong="H5414"\w* search \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w them|strong="H5414"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* \w not|strong="H3588"\w* see \w them|strong="H5414"\w*; \w then|strong="H5414"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* \w she|strong="H3588"\w* \w say|strong="H0559"\w*, \w I|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* go \w back|strong="H0310"\w* \w to|strong="H0559"\w* \w my|strong="H5414"\w* first husband, \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w then|strong="H5414"\w* \w it|strong="H5414"\w* \w was|strong="H4325"\w* better \w for|strong="H3588"\w* \w me|strong="H5414"\w* \w than|strong="H3588"\w* \w now|strong="H3588"\w*.

\v 9 \w So|strong="H3808"\w* \w I|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w take|strong="H7725"\w* \w away|strong="H7725"\w* \w again|strong="H7725"\w* \w my|strong="H1245"\w* grain \w in|strong="H0413"\w* \w its|strong="H0853"\w* \w time|strong="H6258"\w* \w and|strong="H7725"\w* \w my|strong="H1245"\w* wine, \w and|strong="H7725"\w* \w I|strong="H3588"\w* \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w take|strong="H7725"\w* \w away|strong="H7725"\w* \w my|strong="H1245"\w* wool \w and|strong="H7725"\w* \w my|strong="H1245"\w* linen \w with|strong="H0413"\w* which \w her|strong="H0413"\w* body might \w have|strong="H0376"\w* \w been|strong="H6258"\w* covered. 
\v 10 \w And|strong="H3701"\w* \w now|strong="H3588"\w* \w I|strong="H0595"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* \w make|strong="H5414"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* shame clear \w before|strong="H3808"\w* \w the|strong="H3588"\w* eyes \w of|strong="H3045"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* lovers, \w and|strong="H3701"\w* \w no|strong="H3808"\w* \w one|strong="H3808"\w* \w will|strong="H5414"\w* \w take|strong="H3045"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* \w out|strong="H3045"\w* \w of|strong="H3045"\w* \w my|strong="H5414"\w* \w hand|strong="H5414"\w*. 
\v 11 \w And|strong="H7725"\w* \w I|strong="H3651"\w* \w will|strong="H7725"\w* \w put|strong="H7725"\w* \w an|strong="H3947"\w* end \w to|strong="H7725"\w* \w all|strong="H5337"\w* \w her|strong="H3947"\w* joy, \w her|strong="H3947"\w* \w feasts|strong="H4150"\w*, \w her|strong="H3947"\w* \w new|strong="H8492"\w* moons, \w and|strong="H7725"\w* \w her|strong="H3947"\w* Sabbaths, \w and|strong="H7725"\w* \w all|strong="H5337"\w* \w her|strong="H3947"\w* regular meetings. 
\v 12 \w And|strong="H3027"\w* \w I|strong="H6258"\w* \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w make|strong="H1540"\w* waste \w her|strong="H1540"\w* vines \w and|strong="H3027"\w* \w her|strong="H1540"\w* fig-trees, \w of|strong="H0376"\w* \w which|strong="H5869"\w* \w she|strong="H3808"\w* \w has|strong="H0376"\w* said, These \w are|strong="H0376"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* payments \w which|strong="H5869"\w* \w my|strong="H5337"\w* \w lovers|strong="H0157"\w* \w have|strong="H5869"\w* \w made|strong="H1540"\w* \w to|strong="H0376"\w* \w me|strong="H3808"\w*; \w and|strong="H3027"\w* \w I|strong="H6258"\w* \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w make|strong="H1540"\w* \w them|strong="H0853"\w* \w a|strong="H3808"\w* waste \w of|strong="H0376"\w* trees, \w and|strong="H3027"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* beasts \w of|strong="H0376"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* field \w will|strong="H0376"\w* \w take|strong="H5337"\w* \w them|strong="H0853"\w* \w for|strong="H3027"\w* food. 
\v 13 \w And|strong="H4150"\w* I \w will|strong="H7673"\w* give \w her|strong="H3605"\w* punishment \w for|strong="H3605"\w* \w the|strong="H3605"\w* days \w of|strong="H3605"\w* \w the|strong="H3605"\w* Baals, \w to|strong="H4150"\w* whom \w she|strong="H2320"\w* \w has|strong="H3605"\w* \w been|strong="H3605"\w* burning perfumes, when \w she|strong="H2320"\w* \w made|strong="H3605"\w* herself fair \w with|strong="H3605"\w* \w her|strong="H3605"\w* nose-rings \w and|strong="H4150"\w* \w her|strong="H3605"\w* jewels, \w and|strong="H4150"\w* went after \w her|strong="H3605"\w* lovers, giving \w no|strong="H3605"\w* thought \w to|strong="H4150"\w* \w me|strong="H3605"\w*, says \w the|strong="H3605"\w* Lord. 
\v 14 \w For|strong="H5414"\w* \w this|strong="H0834"\w* \w cause|strong="H5414"\w* \w I|strong="H0834"\w* \w will|strong="H0834"\w* \w make|strong="H7760"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* come \w into|strong="H5414"\w* \w the|strong="H0559"\w* \w waste|strong="H8074"\w* \w land|strong="H7704"\w* \w and|strong="H0398"\w* \w will|strong="H0834"\w* \w say|strong="H0559"\w* words \w of|strong="H7704"\w* comfort \w to|strong="H0559"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w*. 
\v 15 \w And|strong="H3068"\w* \w I|strong="H0834"\w* \w will|strong="H3068"\w* give \w her|strong="H5921"\w* vine-gardens \w from|strong="H5921"\w* \w there|strong="H1992"\w*, \w and|strong="H3068"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* valley \w of|strong="H3068"\w* Achor \w for|strong="H5921"\w* \w a|strong="H0834"\w* door \w of|strong="H3068"\w* hope; \w and|strong="H3068"\w* \w she|strong="H0834"\w* \w will|strong="H3068"\w* give \w her|strong="H5921"\w* answer \w there|strong="H1992"\w* \w as|strong="H0834"\w* \w in|strong="H5921"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* \w days|strong="H3117"\w* \w when|strong="H3117"\w* \w she|strong="H0834"\w* \w was|strong="H0834"\w* \w young|strong="H3117"\w*, \w and|strong="H3068"\w* \w as|strong="H0834"\w* \w in|strong="H5921"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* \w time|strong="H3117"\w* \w when|strong="H3117"\w* \w she|strong="H0834"\w* came \w up|strong="H5921"\w* \w out|strong="H5921"\w* \w of|strong="H3068"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* land \w of|strong="H3068"\w* Egypt.

\v 17 \w For|strong="H0776"\w* \w I|strong="H5414"\w* \w will|strong="H0776"\w* \w take|strong="H5927"\w* \w away|strong="H5927"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* names \w of|strong="H0776"\w* \w the|strong="H0853"\w* Baals \w out|strong="H8033"\w* \w of|strong="H0776"\w* \w her|strong="H5414"\w* mouth, \w and|strong="H0776"\w* never again \w will|strong="H0776"\w* she say \w their|strong="H5414"\w* names.
